By Anne Duhin
English

A fieldwork research was conducted among male and female workers working in a textile factory in the North of France. The point was to determine wether the caterogies “man” and “woman” were relevant within the factory. Both categories “male worker” and “female worker” do not refer to gender but lead to a specific intellectuality. For both of them “worker” is the unique referent.
