We study how interrelations build up between men who misappropriate the public space in order to use it for male encounters and sex and voluntary workers of an association fighting against aids who try to occupy this social space in order to take hiv preventive action. Particular attention is given to the uses, strategies and norms that the ones and the others develop to control the social and spatial conditions of their exposed intimacies.
