Poisons played an important role in the development of homeopathy. Their knowledge and use originate from 18th-century observational medicine. Either mineral, animal or vegetal numerous poisons are constituents of medicines that are daily prescribed by homeopathic doctors. These poisons are presented here, more especially snake venoms and their main therapeutic indications.
