The author first describes the techniques of print fabrication and distinguishes the so-called artists’ prints from art reproduction prints. He first gives a typology of sellers according to their biography and transactions. This social trade organization is revealed both by the existence of occupational statuses based on economic, relational and symbolic criteria and by the norms of aesthetic judgment.
