Urban speleology is a marginal practice which has nevertheless its rules of conduct and great requirements. It enables to share an experience in which facets of the self and of the social status change and secret exchanges with other people are multiplied. But it also reveals a new solidarity that is invisible in the world of « above » and a new community that functions like a secret society.
