Territories in Question: Routes in Territories
By Agneta Lilja
English

Ethnology, with its emphasis on cultural diversity and on Europe, was established in 1996. It is part of interdisciplinary studies within the three faculties of the university. Both teachers and PhD-students do research on modern rituals, globalisation, health and care, postmodernity and late capitalism. The research focusses on the Baltic regions and on Eastern Europe. Education concerns international relations and cultural contacts, relations which are being analyzed from ethnicity, class and gender perspectives.
