Based on the rich collections gathered by the père Doazan, the Museum of Cosica, born by the will of the Region, today the Territorial Collectivity of Corsica, opened in June 1997, since when it has deeply evolved, starting originally with the exhibition of agricultural and pastoral communities to open its range of interests to modernity. Through annual temporary exhibits, the museum disseminates the results of its investigations by important publications. The general public is thus given access to social, economic and cultural analysis, while, in the near future, other exchanges are being planned within this Mediterranean context.
