Social Relationships and Good Looks in Secondary School

Through the anthropological observation of schoolboys and girls’ appearance, this article shows how the time of secondary school marks the entrance into adolescence. It is a time for them to acquire social and hierarchical judgments, and to become aware of the importance of reputation and stereotyped sex roles.
