Teenager’s socialization takes place mostly at school. Academic logics and youth sociability might coexist, confront or cohere. The encounter between academic and teenage norms has been studied by observing youth at work in association providing extra teaching. These youth are characterized by academic investment and respect for the academic norms, but the strong peer socialization leads them also to read these norms in their own way and address demands at their schooling institution.
