The aim of this paper is to understand the deep motivations which underlie speeches and behaviors about green algae. It shows an overlapping of multiple logics: cultural, economic, social, ideological, and ethical. It also reveals the strength of the continuum which exists between the representation and the meaning given to the green algae and the accepted solutions for their treatment and their reuse.
