On History, Love and Pain in Croatian Feminist Novels

From MiekeBal's opinion that only discourses of cultural memory (literature, historiography, ethnography, etc.) have the capacity to explain and change difficult or tabooed moments of the past, the author examines attempts at feminist revisions of women's apolitical and opportunist roles during the Second World War through the work of two contemporary Croatian novelists.
