The emergence of political standards for young homeless people coincides with the creation of the terms “wandering youthˮ and “homeless youth.ˮ The vagueness of their definitions contributes to the development of ethnocentric and partial analyses and to the inclusion of “street people” in artificial categories. Thus, we have tried to identify the impact of out-group definition and naming on those of investigated. So, by conducting an ethnographic survey research in collaboration with squatters, we try to define the diverse “street people” categories from their own perspective.
