This article focuses on the description of the patrimonialisation of a local pilgrimage (Berry), appropriated by the Portuguese since the 1960s. Since the intervention of the Portuguese, this event is described by its participants as their heritage and their presence is perceived as salutary. On the other hand, because it is at the crossroads of religious and ethnic, as well as of local and international, this pilgrimage is a symbolic territory where it is possible to express Portuguese belonging at the same time as other belongings.
