Pupils have bodies. Teachers’ critical visions

Based on a qualitative survey conducted between 2009 and 2013 in ten schools situated in the French Alsace and Lorraine region, we will show how teachers and the school as an institution transform the nature and the density of a child’s sex through heterosexualization practices, the consequences of which merit further study.
