Economy and affective bonds in Argentina

When considering inheritance, we immediately think about middle and upper income classes. In the case of the poor, those that would have nothing to transmit, inheritance is usually considered inexistent. In fact, that absence is what would define them. However, far from eliminating the classic patterns of transmitting heritage, poverty transforms them. Based on an ethnographic research on public housing in Argentina (2010-2013), this paper shows how poverty changes transmission across generations.
